VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Specialist Techniques in Nottingham

This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to successfully deliver level 2 beauty treatments.  The course is delivered through a combination of theory and practical sessions, which will enable students to develop their skills in a real-world setting. Students will also have the opportunity to work with clients under the supervision of a qualified beauty therapist.

The course is accredited by VTCT, which is a leading organisation in the beauty industry. Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded the VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy Certificate, which is recognised nationally and internationally, provides thorough training with less modules, less study hours, and less in clinic hours than the Level 2 Diploma.

Here are some examples of the day courses available:

  1. Waxing:
    This course covers the theory and practical skills required to perform waxing treatments on various areas of the body, including legs, arms, underarms, and bikini line. £150
  2. Facial Skincare:
    This course covers the basics of facial skincare, including skin analysis, cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Students will also learn how to perform facial massage and use face masks.£150
  3. Manicure and Pedicure:
    This course covers the skills and techniques required to perform professional manicure and pedicure treatments, including nail shaping, cuticle care, and polish application.£150
  4. Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments:
    This course covers the skills required to perform eyelash and eyebrow treatments, including tinting, shaping, and perming.£150
  5. Make-up:
    This course covers the theory and practical skills required to perform professional make-up applications, including bridal, evening, and photographic make-up. £150

Course Overview:

Learners will have their beauty therapy skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.
This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a junior beautician/beauty specialist including: removing hair using waxing techniques, applying make-up, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure, pedicure, facial skincare, client care, and health and safety.
Learners can further develop their understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: tanning techniques, instructing on make-up application, removing hair using sugaring or threading techniques, eyelash perming, ear piercing and nail art techniques – the full list of optional units is presented in the learner Record of Assessment book (RoA) (specification). This qualification’s structure provides learners with the flexibility to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills depending upon their designated career pathway as a junior beautician/beauty specialist.
