We provide advanced Laser Thread Veins in Nottingham. To treat pesky thread veins on the face or body, we use an ND: YAG laser, which improves the appearance of redness and damaged capillaries in just one treatment.
This fantastic treatment uses light to destroy unwanted blood vessels while protecting the upper layers of your skin.
The laser heats the blood vessel up, effectively cauterising it and stimulating collagen contraction of the vessel to destroy it. Over time, the body will re-absorbed and eliminate the vessel. They will disappear!
How long does the treatment take?
We recommend you attend a free consultation to discuss your specific needs. each treatment varies depending on skin type, the number of capillaries we need to treat and the area. Often, one session will be enough to remove the capillaries or spider veins completely, but sometimes, more than one session is necessary, depending on the size of the vessel and how deep it is. If you need more than one session, we wait at least six weeks between treatments.
Is there any downtime?
After the treatment, the area may appear red, and the skin may swell and feel hot. Over the next few days and weeks, ongoing swelling and bruises may appear. The veins will usually darken, to begin with (usually dark brown, black or purple), and over the following weeks will fade away. Occasionally Laser burns can happen and usually heal within 6 weeks
How does thread vein treatment feel?
The treatment is comfortable, as we use cryogen cooling to keep the tissue cool whilst treating the capillaries. Most clients find they can’t feel much at all during treatment, but on large or deeper veins, there may be a hot flick on the skin as we treat them.
